Optical Bonding is sometimes used in conjunction with FPD's passive, transflective, and/or high-bright displays -depending on the demands of the environment and the original optical characteristics of available LCD screens in the desired size range.

FPD's optical bonding process can be done with tempered or chemically strengthened glass, anti-reflective coated glass, various thicknesses of glass, and other variations.
